Vehicles in uniform

22 and 23 July

The ‘Vehicles in uniform’ weekend will enable connoisseurs and curious visitors to discover the world of military and historical machines.

For two days, thanks to the involvement of various associations in France and Switzerland, you can come and discover a reconstituted Second World War military camp.

Dressed in the authentic uniforms and accessories from the era, the owners of vehicles constructed in the first half of the twentieth century will once again set these extraordinary machines in motion during the motorcade events on the Autodrome of the Cité de l’Automobile. Jeeps, Dodges, GMCs, Harley-Davidsons, and even Half-Tracks will be there, as well as radio-controlled 1:10 scale models, brought to the event by the Club Modélisme Naval Rhodanien. A rare American Nash Quad from the First World War will accompany the famous Taxi de la Marne.

The Amicale des Anciens Sapeurs-Pompiers de Vieux-Charmont (an association for former firemen) will be presenting a wide range of fire engines. These will include a rare Peugeot 1525 fitted with a ladder and dating from 1917, a massive truck that is nine metres long and weighs more than four tonnes.

Lastly, the Section Historique Soléa will invite you to climb on board two old buses: the ‘Chausson’ (1962) and the ‘Floirat’ (1954).

Everyone is welcome to come to the Autodrome and join the others in the Cité de l’Automobile for the weekend... and in uniform.
